CV360 - The First Attempt
During our Professional Practice lecture, Joanne Eaton from the University of Hertfordshire Career service attended as a guest lecturer. When speaking about job applications, Jo mentioned using CV360 to analyse/evaluate our CV's before submitting our applications. This software acts like an ATS system and detects the faults in a CV and what to improve upon. This is important because a higher score suggests that your CV will pass the company's ATS and reach the hiring team.
Out of interest, I decided to run both the CV I applied for the Design internship at Disney where I was successfully hired and the Junior Creative position at Timico were my application was declined.
Interestingly, my Disney CV scored less than my Timico CV, which suggests that Disney use a more sophisticated tracking system of which may accept a higher amount of applicants. This may be likely due to the length of the application process. Therefore if a larger percentage of CV's are passing the ATS system more of those CV's reach a hiring team. As my Timico application was declined quite quickly, it is likely that I didn't pass the ATS system as I had all the skills/experience required to fulfil this role.
For each position, I will submit my CV to CV360 and hopefully reach at least 90%-100% in future to feel more confident that I will pass the company's ATS.
